Pleasure seeker extraordinaire
I love my chill time. I wish I could say that I was the type of student that got something done well in advance. I wish I was the person who could make a list of tasks and get through them one by one without a break in pace. I wish I was the person who always did the most difficult things first and left the easiest things last. I wish the damn couch wasn't so damn comfortable. I wish the Internet didn't grant me access to so many interesting things. I wish Cable television wasn't so damn good. School in my mind is my top priority. But in my body, I just love to hang out. On the measuring scale I think pleasure trumps priorities. To say I am a queen or king of procrastination would be an understatement. I am the ruler of the universe of procrastination. I also love to indulge. I love to indulge in food. I love to indulge in drinking sometimes. I love to indulge in singing sometimes. I love to indulge in dancing sometimes. If I like something I want to drown myself in it. I'm not a thrillseeker I'm a pleasure seeker. I don't want to jump out of a plane. I want to smoke a joint and eat big plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
Nothing is mine anymore...
There was a time when I could be into a certain genre of music and only a handful of people would be into it. Now it seems, if some thing's even remotely good, regardless of how underground it is, it will become mainstream. So you have to be okay with the fact that the song that you love today, the one you think nobody knows is going to be the song being played in the AT&T commercial tomorrow. And that's just the sad fact that you have to accept. We all know it's because of the Internet. But that's nothing worth delving into anymore. We know. We know. We all understand nothing is safe. But I think the idea that somehow this genre of music that I'm into it somehow mine is egoistic. And I admit it's a flaw. but that's what we do. We identify ourselves with our likes and dislikes. So if my favorite genre of music becomes mainstream I feel like my own identity is violated. When I see teenyboppers dancing to the song that I have deep emotional attachments to it sucks. But oh well. I just need to get over it.
